Here at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum we seek to lay a foundation for students in STEM so that they can build upon these tools and apply them in the future by showing them ways that STEM has been used in the past and present. Got code? We do. Coding has become an integral part of future and its demand is only growing. So what does a carrousel museum have to do with coding? A lot! From our classic band organ’s use of binary coding to perform, to the network of circuits that make up our 1920’s carrousel we want to show students a historical side of STEM; with a twist.
The HCFM offers a number of programs for all ages both at the museum, local organizations, and schools. Do you want to get involved with the HCFM STEM movement? Here is just a taste of some program options we currently have available. Not seeing something that fits your group or organization? No problem! Contact our education department and we will work collaboratively with your and your groups mission.
